@NanoRaptor In an alternate universe NeXT was never absorbed by Apple, and continues to this day as the third choice in computers.I hear the latest NeXT phone is coming out just before Christmas. It's squarer, with more sharper corners, painted in ultra black paint so you can barely see it in the dark.

@mjg59 I wonder who knows and understands more... Intel and the deep inner workings of its CPU hardware, or Microsoft and the deep inner workings of its OS.Both seem to be layers of history on layers of ever increasing abstraction.

#3dprinting people, apart from giving my soul to Autodesk so I can use Fusion, what's the alternatives?I don't mind OpenSCAD for simple shapes, but trying to actually model anything in it feels like I'm doing it the hard way.

@foone I shouldn't have to disassemble your device and repair your poor soldering to make it work out the box, either.I remember when Amazon sold products, and wasn't just a front for the same Chinese sellers who infest eBay and Aliexpress.
