       @futurebird I think it smarts. Dogs regulate themselves to our moods and thus standout less while cats basically be cats and stand out more.

       @CStamp @futurebird True. I maybe intelligence = obedience. Maybe dogs were seen as more dangerous or usefully because of their size, especially for hunting and security. This might have lead people to breed them for obedience. Cats were basically pest control and remained more wild.

       @futurebird @WAHa_06x36 @CStamp Assuming domesticate means teach to live within a limited space acting as placed habitation, I think it goes both ways. Human could not live in houses without pest control thanks to cats n cats wouldn't have found such inept species on their own.What surprises me is that humans didn't just find more efficient means of breeding rats.It could be that they tried n got hot hit by bubonic plague and hence the need for cats.Or rat pop growth is too high to control.
