       @Chrishallbeck you could grow bananas on Mars if you really want to. The question would be if they'd be straight due to the reduced gravity not bending them downwards.

       @shacker here in the Netherlands we have weight based road tax for which EVs are currently exempted. Starting 2025 they'll pay 50% road tax to compensate for the higher weight, still having plenty of incentive to pick an EV over an ICE. Gas taxes are (percentage-wise) lower than electricity taxes, but EVs being more efficient makes up for that.

       @chiclet @realcaseyrollins @thatguyoverthere @Twiglet @Marbleturtle Exactly. We have a short range and a long range EV. The long range (LR Model 3) works great for road trips (Netherlands to Switzerland, UK) and the short range (Zoƫ 41kWh, no fast charging) still has enough range for both our commutes, grocery trips and visiting family.On road trips we need more toilet breaks than the car needs charging breaks (and it charges faster than we do) so there's no time loss anyway.

       @realcaseyrollins @thatguyoverthere @chiclet @Twiglet @Marbleturtle That's still doable with an EV.
