       @dick_turpin I bought it more for convenience than for cost saving tbh.  I think those intent on saving money tend to use it in conjunction with one of the big multi-cooker thingies (that air fry, steam, slow/pressure cook etc as well) so that they avoid using the oven altogether.  I guess it depends on what you&#39;re cooking too?  I dunno, I just fancied the idea of it really!

       @dick_turpin Is it the ninja one you have?  That&#39;s what I bought, the dual zone air fryer.  I don&#39;t envisage cooking joints of meat very often, but according to the collective wisdom of facebook groups (haha!) it&#39;s meant to be a much faster way of cooking.

       @dick_turpin Hmm...well I&#39;ve seen people do the meat in one compartment and potatoes / veg in the other.  So maybe you would need a bigger one to see any significant cost savings.

       @dick_turpin Hope it goes well!  At least you have a dentist - I had an infection a couple of months ago after a filling fell out.  Had to just tough it out, no dentists available anywhere here, it&#39;s ridiculous.

       @dick_turpin I didn&#39;t watch it when the Queen did it, so won&#39;t make any difference to me.  I mean by that time on christmas day we really don&#39;t need any help in the feeling sleepy department!

       @dick_turpin I do have an Insta account (I use it solely to find and contact tattoo artists) but stopped myself from signing up for Threads.  I think I can live without handing over even more data to Zuckerface.Besides which, these corporate controlled platforms are all so.... soulless.

       @dick_turpin @steevc Well (and I can say this from experience), even people in the late stages of alzheimers can have moments of clarity.  Doesn&#39;t really make up for the rest of it though.  :)
