@stux That's why women must not participate in the military. Men just can't be embarrassed by weak women.I have always been amazed by women weight lifters. Not as women, but as weight lifters. Haven't followed for awhile, but they could dead lift enormous weights. OTOH as a group they do not receive the financial support that men's weight lifting groups receive. So they have more to lift with less training.

@stux We have two oak trees planted this way, one now 7m tall. Judging by the leaves we can guess which trees in neighboring yards provided the genetic material. That is interesting because the distance the acorns were transported is significant: the acorns didn't just fall from the trees.

@kaia Hide-a-bed or sofa bed is very old. We have one that is very old, and will replace without the feature. It's extremely rare that it gets used as a foldout bed. The metal mechanism makes it weigh a ton. And for us with a premium mattress the lines in the mattress where it folds aren't comfortable. But for some circumstances, sure. Just my opinion. YMMV

@Nonilex ACB in the written opinion: "Justice Jackson decries an imperial Executive while embracing an imperial Judiciary." An "imperial judiciary" has multiple levels of review subject to possible modification or reversal, up to and including SCOTUS. An imperial executive no longer does after ACB ruling. And an imperial executive is a demonstrated problem, and a demonstrated imperial judiciary (e.g., Kacsmaryk) has been subjected to review/reversal. ACB adores T, and displays that.

@ErickaSimone In addition to the cartoon below, a 1980s poem also embraced the idea that AI would become independent and not care about killing all humans. One must consider other possibilities such as it becoming suicidal. Self awareness carries a lot of baggage for the aware.

@Nonilex These are crimes for which presidential pardons and a. rigged #SCOTUS can provide no shield to #POTUS down through the military personnel involved. #Putin and #Netanyahu must carefully avoid travel to most places on Earth where they would be arrested. So it will be for #Trump, his cabinet, his military leaders.

@stux ICE agents will have a difficult future after Diaper Don is gone. Sure, there might be a blanket pardon on top of their J6 pardon, but they still will need to live and work somewhere. People won't forget, and explaining what you did in 2025 will be difficult.

@stux My Mother had radical surgery on one leg, lived in an iron lung, and spent the rest of her life disabled. And because of the disability, she was unable to exercise and died in her 70s. But when the polio vaccine came out, she whipped her kids in to get as fast as she could. And none of her kids got polio. Imagine telling her she should avoid vaccinating her kids.
