@cosullivan Sorry, I have no recommendations. Just wanted to thank you for sending me down a #gopherspace / #sdf rabbit hole. Think I might sign up for some of that gopher goodness when I get a chance. Seems fun and it's worth helping to preserve it.

@dick_turpin It's in their DNA! I have 2, they're brother and sister. The sister is mostly quite sweet and affectionate, the brother is an outright arsehole but also very comical. Like I say, I love 'em, but they're not dogs.

@andyc @dick_turpin It is difficult, and I'm tempted to see my daughter / parents. I think it's ok if you're sensible about it like you've been. Problem is a good portion of people aren't sensible, especially when you add booze into the mix. I live on a council estate, am waiting for huge parties to start happening any day now...

@andyc @dick_turpin Don't get me started. My daughter works for a supermarket, you wouldn't believe the way some people behave. The stories she's told me are nightmare inducing. 😲

Hello fediverse. Long time, no see. Also, I've bought a new iphone (feel free to pour scorn on me, my FOSS loving friends, I probably deserve it!). Just wondering if there's a decent mastodon client for ios? I had a quick glance but none seemed to have glowing reviews.

It's been just over a week since I got a chest tattoo. Have had a really rough time with the healing process, but it's thankfully been much better the last couple of days. May need a touch up in a couple of spots though, but mercifully not in the sternum area (that was not fun!).

@dick_turpin For the most part, people tend to like their comfort zones best. I'm grateful to the noise about Mastodon though, as it reminded me about my neglected account here! I'll try and stick with it for longer this time.
