I have been feeding crows at the same spot on my daily walk in Portland, and have been getting then used to my voice. my mission? summon a crow storm at will by shouting a trigger phrase.

despite their issues, i'm very happy to see a company like framework doing so well. it means there's appetite for simpler, self-repairable devicesi grew up on a farm 🐷 in the 2000s, there was a coordinated shift to ruin the tractor. it went from being a loved, composable, repairable, self-service machine that lasted 20-30 years to a despised, predatory, proprietary, _expensive_ devices that required a loan to buy and a company to maintainapple's strategy, weaponized against farmers

airplane ticket checkout websites always make me feel like a doomer. :sadlinux: i always feel so dirty after using them, bc i have to navigate a minefield of extra purchases and subscriptions in order to: buy a single plane ticket. it's actively user hostile & borderline abusivealmost all widely used checkout experiences devolve into psychologically manipulative money extractors. arg. i wish the constant pressure of capital wouldn't make things so ugly. maybe everything would be less miserable

@neauoire the plan:- intended for single users, like a personal brain extension-customizable css- custom markup lang (very lite, as plaintext as posslbe)- very short urls (https://j3s.sh/$pagename)- pages are saved as text-files-written-to-disk with git autocommits (similar to mycorrhiza)- text is in "blocks" that process parts of pages differently - like edna[0] - for todo lists, images, etc- pages editable via web interface (rudimentary phone support)- autolinks between pages- picture upload interface (^V with a pic in clipboard will upload the pic + paste appropriate markup)- rss support for certain pages (for long form posts that are blog-ish)i want to replace https://j3s.sh and https://abyss.j3s.sh w this one system -- all old links will redirect to the new wiki. it's been quite an undertaking so fari'm calling it Oblivion
