I have FFXVI to play, a bunch of shows and movies to watch, and here I am messing around with getting virtual machines of old operating systems to get pushed as far into modern support as I can for no reason... Lack of sleep does wonders for focus :blobcatFine:

Japanese event schedules really aren't purchasable THAT far in the future huh? Trying to go see a Pro Wrestling show when I'm there and they JUST announced an event 2 months from now and you still cant buy tickets...

Immersing in entertainment as a language beginner is a mixed bag... a lot of advice says to watch shows aimed for an younger audience since they are intended to be simple and easy to understand, but when most shows like that are redubs of English shows that need to shove way more noises into the same time-frame it's so hard to follow :blobcatDizzy:

Of all things - News coverage with its intentional pace and visual aides is a real help! But that doesn't help me learn spoken dialect as much, it just means I know a bunch of vocabulary for some current event somewhere

FCP being of course not industry standard by any means, but seems to be functional for the basic kind of editing I'd like to try out - Adobe Premiere being locked into the Creative Suite subscription model + older builds of it or builds of a lot of alternatives not being Apple Silicon native pushed me in this direction

I want to at least get into airplane travel reports though because I've been watching a lot of them lately and they're very relaxing and interesting content! Could be a good avenue to do comparisons since I've flown so much these last few years it's hard to keep track

Very frustrating when I want to give a musical artist money to buy their work and it's being gated by labels that are subsidiary to megaconglomerates that just... don't release it in the USA. And then actively hinder attempts to buy it in the USA.

UMG is a massive company with presence in the USA, surely the whole advantage as a label to being a subsidiary to such a company is cross promotion right? I guess not! Better hide artists' work from that whole outside world beyond Europe! Frustrating.

Spent my evening learning some APIs and writing an automation for a new feature and then discovered there was a checkbox in the program already that did everything my program did, but automatically🙃at least it was fun to write
