Bought an old camera a few months back, discovered the previous owner had forgotten a roll of film in there. Got it developed and scanned, and it looks like these pics were taken in the 70s, then forgotten in the desert heat and super degraded. They're vaporwave as fuck.

Spent this morning setting up a weaving project in the loom I built. Handmade textiles take a truly ridiculous amount of work, it's going to take ~16 hours of work just to get all the threads in the right place and that's just for some kitchen towels. I'll post pics once I finish getting it set up, although that will probably be next week at this rate

It's taken the better part of a week to get everything prepped, but I am now officially back on my weaving bullshit

My past week has been entirely consumed by recovering from a mild case of covid, baking/eating cookies, and setting up a pre-industrial machine that makes hand towels

I have come up with a way of transmitting encoded messages via crackle weaving. For n characters, you need 5*N + 1 total threads, and you can generate a small textile that should be:- Strong enough to withstand daily use- Not obviously an encoded message- Damn near impossible to decode without a draft- Tedious to decode even with a draftThis one says "This is stupid"
