@aaravchen I see. Not that I am searching The One, so I may try it in a VM and see what can I do with it. I am also interested in this kind of OS running in small/old devices so you can give them another chance. Maybe alpine is ok for that. Don't know, I have loads to learn yet. Thanks for answering! :D

@kzimmermann @aaravchen Will definitely give it a try, I am really curious about which devices can you put that into!

@fatboy Actually whatsapp including "stories" seemed like a first step to a social media platform, so it makes a lot of sense to me that it evolutes to a mix of the others.

@urusan targetting your audience directly, putting a funny tick into something they can relate is what works for me most of the time.Example: we had a lot of fun at the office with simple stock images of Mic. teams just when converting them to memes about our messy release process

@jarbus @neauoire @rek definitely! Although I personally do not get along well with water, what they do is inspiring and get me wanting to do something similar on land

@Gina can't think of anything really passive (like you get what you need and you work to contribute to your community) without abolishing the current system first or just taking a bunch of people like minded and funding a village

@urusan this is really interesting. It happens to me a lot with my sister. We are really like minded as we grew up together and I thought that could be the reason, like "we act and think the same in a deterministic way bc of shared background", but this actually makes more sense to me.

Anyone has opinions on TP-Link 4g routers? Gonna move to a rural area with 4g coverage and is the easiest way to get an internet connection going.I've been taking a look on the archer mr600 but seems like for the price is going to be overkill connectivity for a sim card.

@rudolf don't want to drain my battery, it gets pretty hot when sharing and I actually have a spare sim card just for the connection so it can of makes sense I guess.Oh, I see, that one is portable. I was thinking more in a desk-router, but thanks for sharing, is useful to know that could be an option too!

@Gina maybe it was a phone API expecting other sw to perform the activation

@Zach777 I have very little experience from a 6 month job in a company. Learnt a lot, mostly coded in C and studied mainly about memory management and cryptography (our chip manufacturers provided already libraries to use with the specific device). It was fun, felt like a lot less bloated than any current trending technology.

@atoponce I still have mine but is completely empty. I just use it to take a look at open positions and apply if needed, but rely on CV attaching for that. What do you use instead for job hunting?

@atoponce yeah, I understand. I guess a lot of companies use the platform for those matters, so is sometimes convenient to leave it there just in case.

@Gina it is my home country and my family lives here, so it would be train/bus ride distance to visit. Plus, I know that there are quite a few villages getting optic fiber connections (including mine) so remote work would be totally fine now!
