@oatmeal Having experienced the Netherlands, I know that, like Germany and Japan, it has dealt very well with its past and also thanks to an education system that knows no excuses for its past and anti-Semitism, colonialism etc. (Unlike, for example, Russia, where the terrible, bloody and imperialist regime of the USSR and dictator Stalin is still a hero and celebrated)Dutch society has been very open, liberal and still multicultural and pro-emigration for the past decades.

@NeonPurpleStar Yes, the Baltic countries are ahead - they have their own experience. The Americans also thought rationally and warned that it could end badly...One of the positive consequences of recent years is that the Baltic countries have gained a strong voice in European politics (and a real defense capacity guaranteed by allies - supported by deployed NATO troops)And the good thing is that the rest of Europe has also learned (except for the Germany ๐ง ) lesson.

I don't know how many times it has to be repeated:Shooting down Russian drones over #Ukraine (by #Poland or #Romania...or anybody) doesn't mean that these countries would become automatically part of the conflict!Just as the US, British, French or Jordanian military shot down Iranian drones flying into #Israel in April: None of them are at war with Iran today! Anyone who talks about preventing escalation is sacrificing Ukrainian civilians for Russia's fake blackmail.#Sikorski

@akurilov @gimulnautti When the Russians (Soviets) started World War 2 with a joint attack (along with Hitler) on Poland in September 1939,it was direct military cooperation in illegal aggression. Nothing to compare with the defensive war of the Finns. Look: Finnish soldiers did not invade Europe alongside the Germans to conquer new territories and entire nations, but Russians did!Stalin's and Hitler's soldiers marched together in Europe during illegal aggression.
