Tuning postgres is always a slog of adjusting and adjusting until it works properly.But yeah as to your radio, I've seen a few projects out in the wild for transferring data and such over the waves. I don't think I've ever used ax.25 tho. I seem to remember reading about it being used in the Gulf war but I could be wrong about that. I can ask around, I know one of the guys who works on Gnu-radio, I'll see if he has any inside info.But yeah man, data in the air. Gets me worked up just thinking about it.

@kgblst80 @p Yeah for real, in this case it's so strange. I increased the ram two fold but it doesn't seem to be taking advantage of it, however the stress on the CPU is substantially lower. I'm wondering if it just has something to do with how it reads the config file. From what other people have said, updating postgres eliminates several performance issues, so that might be my project later today once I chip away at all the other stuff I should be doing. >i'm also looking into this as i have time today. Yeah, I'm super curious as well. I'm familiar with the concept P's describing but I just haven't ever used the one he's talking about. I'm really interested now, especially with this microphone situation.
