Unrepairable products cost us and the planet, and we are the only country in the OECD without e-waste regulations. That's why Consumer NZ is calling for a product repairability label. If we can shop based on how long products will last and how repairable they are, manufacturers and retailers will be forced to lift their game. Check out the petition… worth signing! https://campaigns.consumer.org.nz/right-to-repair

@strypey Enjoyed reading Hugh's blogpost and his perspective. Made me think of the situation from different angles.

Natural disasters, pregnancy and baby health seem to be linked!Just came across this study. https://acamh.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.1111/jcpp.13698The stress caused due to significant weather events in expectant mothers increases the risk of psychopathology in the children.climate change > increased weather events > mental health risks for the future generation.Hope there is more research on this topic!#climate #health #psychology

@pwinn I'm just playing around it with so haven't gone down deep enought to cost it up for production... but the instance I took is USD 14 per month (2 CPU, 60GB SSD). I suspect in production one would look at a 8 CPU, 120 GB SSD + storage (Amazon S3) + Mailserver costs... So I'd say about USD 75 to run a fairly decent server. But these are numbers I'm just pulling out for this response. Requires more thought. For example, does one need high-availability!
