@MikeTRose I don’t doubt that, but of course it’s all bullshit. Creators need to get paid, that’s absolutely true. However, it’s one world, so there needs to be some sort of global agreement on rights that no longer apply only to single countries.

@killyourfm Congratulations! I recently graduated from my starter kit, an old Roland hd-1, to an ATV exs-5. Drumming can be a slippery slope when it comes to gear. I’ve already upgraded the kick & snare to their acoustic shell edrum versions because I found a great deal on used ones. 😅I also recommend giving Melodics a try. Have fun with your new drums!

@killyourfm I started near the end of October last year when I found a super cheap old Roland kit that needed some repairs. A month later I was researching which kit to upgrade to. 😆

@killyourfm On the off chance that you haven’t seen it, drumeo has 100 of their songs available for free (you do have to give them your email address though). They’re mostly classic tracks, and they have full notation, speed control, looping, drum removal, etc., same functionality as their paid version.I discovered it today while researching drumeo & considering if I should pay the extra $50 to get access to the songs on melodics. I recommend checking it out if you’re not allergic to standard notation: https://www.drumeo.com/100-songs

@killyourfm I think what I wrote was a bit unclear. I was interested in upgrading to get the songs on melodics. However, they don’t have very many drum songs available and the quality is so so in my opinion. So I decided to check out drumeo’s offerings, and they’re great. They are quite a bit more expensive than melodics, however.
