@chromakode I’m a side sleeper and this was a total form over function purchase. It easily slipped off and slept hot. Your article made me realize the other issues with it. In the end, I ended up buying a black out curtain. That helped a lot and it’s automated, so it raises at sunset so I can stick to my circadian rhythm.

I've used ES6+ for so long now that I've already forgotten all the stupid hacks I had to do in ES5. Like what did we used to do without optional chaining with a default value? Or the time before Object.values was released?I shouldn't get imposter syndrome for forgetting this, but honestly I can't help it :mega_flushed:

Good news everyone! Mastodon's OAuth should soon support PKCE. This will allow browser-based apps to authenticate with an instance without storing the secret in local storage. @thisismissem reviewing how @phanpy does it and learned they store the secret temporarily in session storage https://github.com/cheeaun/phanpy/blob/4c0bc62ad016eb36e7e1bd909fc21728bee1f0c4/src/app.jsx#L317but store the access token more permanently in local storage.

You know how programmers obsess over security, think about all the ways a system could be compromised and taken advantage of? When such a security flaw is found, it is dealt with IMMEDIATELY even if it means compromising on speed or UX.If our same systems can be taken advantage of to troll and harass Black users, then we should treat such *safety* flaws with the same level of urgency.
