wtf :/ i installed ubuntu touch on my phone again, but now i'm sending sms with my bestie and it says it's not delivered, but then she replies :/ and i check online with my provider, and apparently it has tried to send each sms like 5 times? if it can't get this right, that's a serious problem and may be a reason to revert back to /e/os actually :/

seeing the forum, there's been several people with sms issues in the past couple of years :/ i've been using UT on and off for almost a decade now and was always happy with it. i know it's a small team, and they are really doing great work with what they have, so i'm gonna be a bit sad if i have to drop it :/ i do donate to the project and i wanna keep doing that bc i think the work is important, but i'm also getting the feeling that the world around us is moving at a speed faster than what a healthy community can maintain, and that's sad to see..

@ocean what i absolutely love here, and this blog shows it, is that the web can be quite responsive by design. many sites switch around how things are presented based on screen size, making responsiveness seem like a quite complex thing. but this blog doesn't do, nor need that complexity. it has a very specific and personal look, and yet, the design is kept in a way that this responsiveness comes very natural.

one thing i always find scary during domain transfers is that i don't know what will happen with the domain records after transfer.. it's the second time i try a move, why can't registrars allow me to log in and set up my records the moment i initiate the transfer..or maybe most do, i will admit the ones i transferred to are a bit niche :blobfoxnotlikethis:

@newt would probably work, but i was already getting doubts when i saw how MS centred they were, so it kinda feels like a "last drop" for me.. but if i had a linked in (and i'll probably create one sooner or later), i'd put it in though, so maybe i should indeed just do that..

@timorl lol. but yeah, i don't think i'll apply.. maybe tomorrow for funzies and experience, we'll see. but they also ask what pay range you expect without giving a clue as to what they're willing to pay. someone has already pointed out they may mostly be data harvesting.
