@hist_mythLe cœur du problème, c'est que les petites villes et les villages ne sont pas viables au XXIs. Et du coup ils se vident, leurs habitants deviennent isolés, hargneux et haineux. Et on ne peut pas les aider: économiquement, socialement et écologiquement, c'est *bien* que les villages meurent. C'est une phase. Il y en a pour 20 ans. @ZachWeinersmithThe serious answer is that larger amounts of humans need more and more and more and more complex arrangements of humans doing things.Of course, you can coerce them, but it's easier if everyone pulls together. And so larger societies are less stable if less fair.

@futurebirdThank you for this moving story. I think this is why I preferred the 90s idea of everybody being colour blind.The hope that fewer and fewer kids become black or white over time.Not the naivety that there's no such thing.

@futurebird on this one, I think it's a bit of a "none so blind..." thing. Many *really* want twitter back, with the revenue, large clout, and the algorithm making things viral. It's just better business. And it doesn't matter your business is charitable. Mastodon is just mediocre business.
