I'm a collector of shiny pebbles and weird sticks. Whenever I walk long distances I keep one hand extended, palm up, to hold my treasures. Recently, I started calling these my "hand bouquets." This weekend's hand bouquet is from the sand dunes of North Holland.

I love adding new signs to the San Francisco Ghost Sign Map, but I especially like adding "secret" signs. These are the signs that were painted immediately after the earthquake and hidden away in alleys and backyards by successive ways of new construction. Due to an intrepid follower who spends a lot of time on rooftops, we've just added three new secret signs on 2nd Street between Stevenson and Jessie.
