@sir Actually, step one should be “Install OpenBSD”. :^)

I find it really hard to talk to people who are less technically inclined as I am. I tend to: 1. sound like a condescending dick. 2. lack the patience to explain things to them. 3. dislike dumbing down tech-speak to talk to them. How do you people deal with this? Are you naturally nice? I know I'm not and I'd like to change that.

@amolith lmao nice. Toss in some ML/AI (and blockchain if you're feeling especially creative).

If someone could tell me why, that'd be great. It works on regex101, but not in awk. :[

I mean, it works if there's only one link in a line, but not if there are more than one. For ex: [asdf](http://some.link) and [another](http://another.link)This breaks in awk, works in regex101.

For context (I should've mentioned this way earlier lol)—I'm writing a markdown subset in pure awk, to generate HTML. The code is here: https://github.com/icyphox/mawkdown

Woah, I mostly got it to work! It's still using the previous link's text and link though. Have to figure out how to isolate them.

And it works! Second pic is the final regex. The only thing I had to change was the 'if' → 'while' lol.

Okay fedi, I've a question. Can I run the Mastodon instance at social.example.com, but have my handle as @icy@example.com?

@p Oh weird. Anyway, it's this one: https://github.com/tootsuite/documentation/blob/archive/Running-Mastodon/Serving_a_different_domain.mdAnd yes, my awk markdown processor is /very/ cool. :^)

Mastodon is all setup and running. I just have to figure out how to front my RPi with my VPS's nginx. I'm reverse proxying, but Let's Encrypt isn't too happy with my setup.Zzzz.

@tek So this is what I was trying:nginx (VPS) <-> nginx (RPi) <-> Mastodon (localhost on RPi)But, the issue lies in the fact that I want the VPS nginx to serve HTTPS and not the RPi, and Mastodon doesn't like to run on HTTP alone (it redirects assets etc. to HTTPS). My final decision is to port forward all 80/443 traffic to the Pi via the VPS, and ditch my VPS nginx altogether. I'll move over all my services to the Pi—which I was going to do anyway. Did that make sense?

Site's down for a bit. Migrating stuff to the Pi. I think I broke something.
