I see my notifications have been working just fine, so I will respond to this very late. So, a game post? Jedi Outcast was one of those first games that doomed me to be a gamer for the rest of my life. Straightforward linear storyline, lots of shooting and lightsaber swinging, the occasional totally corny one liner, and a definite over reliance on the Force Electrocute button for boss fights. That said, it’s also the only Star Wars game that I’ve played that focuses on a Grey Side Jedi as the main character, making Kyle Katarn one of my all time favorite lightsaber wielders. Not a quote from this game, but one that exemplifies Kyle’s grayness: “The Force is a tool, Jaden. Sometimes a weapon, sometimes a salve. Dark Side, Light Side, these are distinctions of insignificant difference. Do not fall into the trap of classification. Sentience curses us with a need to categorize and draw lines, to fear that after this be dragons. But that is an illusion. After this is not dragons but more knowledge, deeper understanding. Be at peace with that.”And tagging? (If y’all have already been tagged before, oops) @usagitenshi @mattwaterhouseauthor @molly_b @timoburnham @CodenameWraith @aeternis

Review for Order Of The Spirits: Initiation by @vladimir_afI had tried to make my normal blog post for this review, but Minds is being Minds again, and it apparently ate the post the instant I sent it up. I'm putting up the link to my website instead this time and hopefully it won't vanish into the digital void again. http://aaronandtaylor.studio/index.php/2023/12/03/review-order-of-the-spirits-initiation/

In Venture Imperium, the Black Zones were an addition that were made to support the next series. That said, their addition greatly benefited these books and ended up fixing many of the world building and plot issues I was running into.

Black Zone Reports has gone through quite a few changes. It grew to the point where I can’t keep it a single book to work on for publishing, so it’s been split into three. Flashpoint is now the first and features these main characters:In “Black Zone: Granite Falls”Jedrek, who finds himself at the epicenter of a Zone. Amanda, a young girl that gains unusual abilities after coming into contact with a Zone Swarm. In “Remnants”Sole, the daughter of a cop determined to hunker down and wait for his return. Callan, the son of an Imperium astronaut determined to signal for rescue. There are others, but these are the stars.
