       I tried to get away from my tendency for realism and got a bit creative with pastels to do a portrait of Morty. Unfortunately the fixative skewed the color much more orange, but it turned out okay.#artwork #pastels #dogsofmastodon

       @deerbard I have primarily used Liquitex Professional Heavy Body acrylics. They're thicker with a very high pigment load. If you like thinner paints, the Soft Body acrylics are really nice. I've recently started using Golden Open acrylics. The consistency is somewhere between those other two but they stay workable much longer vs drying almost instantly. I'm really enjoying the slower drying time to allow for better mixing.
