@foone my last name has an umlaut (ü), a hyphen, and is 14 chars long. My whole life I’ve been enjoying:- forms that reject hyphens as an invalid char- forms that reject my name due to length, most egregious on paper immigration forms- sites that happily accept my name but don’t support UTF-8, so ü becomes üThankfully airlines are generally fine if I omit the umlaut and hyphen 🥲

I should really write some tests for my side project.I pushed a “fix” to disable outgoing calls locally, but it ended up disabling all outgoing calls and broke it 💀

OpenAI's Codex is pretty excellent. You prompt it to make changes, it presents you with a diff, and then you can get it to open a pull request for you.You can review the changes by line to prompt it to give feedback.

I’ve switch to Linux full time on my desktop, after getting so many prompts to upgrade to Windows 11.I’ve always had dual boot set up, mostly for heavier workloads that won’t run well on my MBP, while using windows exclusively for gaming.I’m astonished at how well even modern games (Arc Raiders 👀) run on Proton
