I just feel like I don’t belong or fit in anywhere. Don’t get me wrong, I have plenty of friends and loved ones who surround me and support me. But I feel like I can’t relate with them and I feel like I have to put out a lot of energy for the sake of appearance. If I were left alone, I would recede into my mind and wander along with my thoughts wherever they might take me, disregarding everything and everyone. Would I be taking full advantage of this life I’ve been given?

@publius that’s a great way of putting how I feel - feeling like a wrong shape of puzzle piece. It’s somewhat comforting to know that I’m not alone and frankly is why I’ve just been putting these toots out there. I’ve told people in my circle exactly how I feel and they seem to just not understand.

My rugby team was featured on TV this morning in the local news. They came to our 101 event to film us and interviewed players for the piece. I recall putting so much effort into hiding from the cameras. I hesitated to watch the piece but did it anyway. I thought I was in the clear until I saw myself at the last second. I was repulsed and ashamed of how I appeared. It caused a downward spiral of self-loathing and anxiety.
