I think that #hugo is great, and being able to use my preferred #OrgMode formatting for posts awesome, but I have to admit, the combined markdown for links is perhaps a /little/ over the top e.g.: `[[{{< relRef other-page-name >}}][Link Text]]` I almost feel sorry for the round brackets who somehow weren't invited to this bracket fest, but perhaps the round brackets were already occupied keeping my #emacs running.

@galdor Yeah, I can understand how all the individual elements got there, just in sum it looks awful. If I was smart I'd write a function that inserted Hugo links, and had completion suggestions based on the the content of the Hugo project's pages/bundles in the /content/posts directory.

@louis Thank you for your dedication, I realise that it's a lot of work. Admins and mods are what make any community work, and that's trying in times when most discussions quickly become polarised and people don't take the time, to try and understand different sides and a happy medium 🏆

@louis My problem is that I would like to pay for journalism, but not always read the same paper. Normally I want to see different perspectives on a particular story, but there doesn't appear to be cost effective way of doing that. Each newspaper subscription is already really expensive.

A colleague saw me using #Emacs and #OrgMode for my notes, to-dos etc. and said "If you like that, you should try Obsidian". I asked if that has a built-in file browser, shell or can be used as an IDE, and he gave me a confused look that said "Why should it?". One of us is beyond help, I just don't know which one.

I've been BSD-curious for a while, it's #OctOpenBSD and an old laptop needed a refresh, so naturally I tried installing #OpenBSD https://www.henryleach.com/2023/10/installing-openbsd-on-a-hp-stream-11-laptopGood news, it works! Now I've just got to try and configure it.

With my new-old router I'm now runnings two machines with #BSD at home, not counting Macs. What's the socially acceptable number of BSDs to be running before you're allowed to apply for your #RunBSD sticker?
