@kev @mike I used VSCode for a long while, but the slowness with the extensions I need to do my work was getting to me. I’m using (and paid for) Sublime Text and there will have to be a *darn good reason* for me to need to switch back.

@kev @mike I’m too much of a rule follower to not have a linter help me. 😄 VSCode has way too many things to tweak and install that I would fall into the trap of overloading the IDE. That being said, what it comes with by default has some pretty decent git integration. You could probably install, hide the Extensions tab and be perfectly happy.

@mike I was doing that for years, and would look under my glasses to read something up close. Last year, that became a strain and I was forced to go with progressive lenses. Really close up things I can take off my glasses to read, but that middle distance needed help.

@mike I finally relented and went for progressives because the eye strain was too much in that middle distance.I had to also get a pair of distance-only glasses for watching tv. If I got too comfortable, my field of vision would approach the near sighted section of my glasses.

@chris what brand did you go for? I’m thinking about a MagSafe battery too, but haven’t gone through with it yet.
