       I look I hate disinformation as much as the next guy but the fact that 1) it's the US government who is doing this 2) it's the fucking Department of Homeland Security doing it just feels *incredibly* sus. Also, the fact that they're calling it, and I'm 100% serious here, the "Disinformation Governance Board" is somehow even worse.

       @icedquinn I understand that there's a lot of information and that not all of it is good/correct, but shouldn't we teach people to actually think for themselves and have good critical thinking skills rather than ... that?

       I feel very sorry for the journalists who come into fedi expecting any sort of serious anything when it's just different shades of neurodivergency except the special interests range all the way from programming to Hitler to fonts to anime cats.
