Medical professionals should never call #covid19 "a flu" to a patient who is masked in their presence. They should also not call the anxiety, which comes from worldwide #Pandemic and living among people whonwillfully spread it by not masking at minimum while sick, #OCD. OCD is a lot more complex issue, which needs to be determined by a psychologist through several visits - not a quick questionnaire about depression and anxiety. And - the patient may just not want to become sicker.#MaskUp

Even more than that, all medical professionals should be wearing a #Mask since their chance of spreading it is greater thanks to meeting sick people all day.They may be properly vaccinated and can outrun worse outcomes, being basic healthy and all, but how about the elderly, or disabled person, who doesn't dare to mask due to harrassment, misinformation, or poverty which is increasing?Calling people crazy doesnt stop the spread.Masks do. Ventilation does. Empathy would.

Why are we called crazy or #OCD for not wanting to be sick? I already have compunding disabilities and really don't want to have new ones just before my life is finally starting to make sense.Just one week off from work from sickness would be bad enough, but even chance of #LongCovid should scare people shitless. If I get the one that comes with fatique and PEM?My working life is over. I already have very little life in that regard already.#MaskUp to save your future self.

A story from someone I know:"I was at work listening to news cast warning people that influenza season has really begun, and on top lf that covid is still out there. They underlined heavily that if you are sick - stay home. Holiday grocery shopping is its own kind of hell when every other person was coughing up a long and nobody cared to put on a mask even when clearly sick... Another question for #plantstodon peeps - why is my climbing succulents getting brown and floppy?It is not all of them - I planted these in the same day, same soil, and have watered them the exact same amount, in a same place, same time. Sometimes computer savvy people forget that there are ton of poor/poorer people whose lives actually don't revolve around any expensive hardware because we were raised without PC's and laptops.My first PC I got from work a few years ago. New one I barely know how to use basics with. First laptop I got around age 17 and only because I really needed it for school.So be patient with us who have less experience and less motivation to learn. We were doing other stuff when you learned this. (:
