i think why i would defend this film over other comedies that didn't age well is that while some comedies punch down (even UHF), this didn't feel like it really threw any punches. everyone is goofy in this universe and as the film progresses the knob labeled "bonkers" gets steadily turned up from 1 to 10

i think my dream "job" (if i were to dream of labor) would be writing and still doing that weird idea where i design and build fancy custom arcade cabinets both for existing arcade games but also for modern games that never got a cabinetthe only code i touched would be in the pursuit of custom game cabinets
