When the Social WG discussed about the protocol, I provided commentary. At that point in time, I already had worked with the Diaspora protocol and knew their way of distributing comments. I'm not totally sure anymore, but I can imagine that I suggested that to the WG as well.But I guess that AP inherited their current behaviour from pump.io. Sadly also LD signatures didn't took of. So we would need a different method of authenticating especially non public posts.

If you prefer something darker, the fourth panel shows a girl sitting on the ground in a dirty corner of a dark street, trying to earn money by playing music. The first three panels were all products of her imagination.You could maybe even place a reference to the little mermaid by Hans Christian Andersen by showing her bleeding feet.

It will not break it, but we will still have got two different worlds. The older FEP e232 is created in a well thought way, so that on not supported servers you simply see some RE: https://server.example/objects/123 in the last line to indicate a quote.

ActivityPub has everything for calendar entries and attendance. Friendica (and some other systems) support this.

Letztendlich ist es das Gleiche. Der Unterschied ist, dass man ein eigenes Icon auf dem Startbildschirm hat und keine Browserleiste.Bei Firefox sagst Du "App zum Startbildschirm hinzufügen", bei Chrome ist es "Zum Startbildschirm hinzufügen"

I like how Germany does things. Not only can Germans who live abroad vote, European (non-German) citizens can also vote in Germany for local parliaments. They can also vote in the European Parliament elections.I would love it if non-European citizens living in Germany had the same possibility. I also think it would be good if they could vote at state level.
