They really did not even consider the possibility of constraining the way some player titles can be combined. I love Monster Hunter.

It's ok if Marathon flops. Half the game was cheap, the other half was cheaper.

"The anti-DEI part of the readme is useful for filtering out the kind of people who took over the previous version of x11."Bro doesn't know nobody took over the previous version of X11 and that's why it's an unmaintained mess of old crusty code.

The way to deal with metux wasn't to ban him from contributing to Xorg. It was to report him and his consulting company to German authorities for Holocaust denialism, a federal crime.

Reddit truly the only place where people jerk it crazy style to the thought of a dystopian shithole as long as liberalism gets to stay.

@shpuld You may want to look into the Windows build: this didnt happen yesterday, only today, when I opened the zip for Windows, Defender quarantined it immediately (identified as "Program:Script/Wacapew.A!ml"). VirusTotal reports all green so idk wtf is up with that, because restoring the zip and scanning the files inside doesn't trigger anything in Defender. I tried downloading the zip again, that time Firefox couldn't even get to the point of renaming the .part download to a final .zip file before Defender quarantined it, same story, content was fine.Idk what is up with that, you may want to check if some compression settings trigger false positives. I genuinely never had this happen to me before. Other zip files work fine.

@shpuld the export is fine, unpacking the zip doesnt trigger any defender action and actively scanning the files also reveals no issues, just the zip itself seems to be the problem for some reason.

@shpuld if only we had a nonlinear personalization algorithm to optimize engagement for improving user retention the fediverse would finally scale

I find it expected that everyone is talking about how many IDs are in the Discord leaks but nobody is questioning why Discord needed to keep any one of those IDs around after they had already verified the age of the users they belonged to.

@ivesen that's like saying it's the bullet that killed someone and not the person that shot it. Adding a layer of indirection does not work when the indirection is blaming something that was the result of exclusively deliberate and explicit choices, like signing a contract with a third party for the management of ID verification, which would have listed how the process worked, the privacy implications, the security procedures and that would have happened after vetting. That's why the GDPR puts the full blame on the first party before the third party is even questioned, even if the third party deceived them the first party is still fully liable for having subsequently deceived its users, who are the only other party whose safety the GDPR cares about paramount to all else.

@rose it runs on pretty much anything now, including WASM and in preview Android too. Plus with Swift Embedded (a cut-down feature-set that allows smaller runtime metadata, which can target all the other systems too not only embedded so you can get faster tinier Swift programs on Linux if you don't need stuff like coroutines or full generics support) it also runs on ESP32 and nearly every microcontroller that LLVM can be configured to build against, and making your own SDK is relatively easy, the community maintains many SDKs for RP Picos and even Panic's Playdate.
