@wd_5x5 @Sovereign @Koropokkur I like it but I want to say that it's not paradise. I'm still paying off my mandatory nenkin contributions which stacked up while I was moving. It's sad seeing a major part of my paycheck hoovered up by that because the money's just gone. I doubt I'll ever be able to draw on that when (if) I ever retire. I could have invested that money and/or bought bitcoin/gold/silver or I could have used the money to help my family. It's a tremendous waste.

There's an old Greek myth of Cronus the Titan, who devoured his own children ( Hestia, Demeter, Hera, Hades, and Poseidon) out of paranoia and fear of losing his position. When I reflect on that and look at modern Boomer behavior, I conclude there's a lot of wisdom to be discovered in mythology and old wives' tales.** one of Cronus' kids, Zeus, avoided being devoured and eventually defeated him, sending the Titan to Tartarus (their version of heck). Not quite the Day of the Pillow but it is still a decisive victory, and a fitting reward for anyone who'd hurt the young out of greed and spite.

Generally true, but I don't mind some wireless tools (keyboards, mice, game controllers) _if_ they take AA batteries so I can use rechargeable ones, and so the thing doesn't get bricked in a few years by a dead internal battery.

@BrokenSword This is going to be heresy for some but I really like TKL mechanical keyboards. They are big enough for me to do writing work on and even in a protective case, they still fit nicely inside my backpack.

Visited Akihabara to hit the Aikatsu store and get honey toast (in this case, pudding, caramel sauce, and banan ice cream ). Good thing there were no calories in the dessert. And some bonus madooka movie promo arts!

I really enjoyed the Castlevania musical. I said in another poast that there was a certain amount of campiness to it, and that's absolutely true, but what really shines through is all the love the creator of the musical had for Castlevania. The stage musical adaptation's script included many little references to moments from the games, especially Rondo of Blood and Symphony of the Night, and as a long time fan I appreciated those. I was also impressed by the professionalism of the actresses and greatly pleased by the inclusion of arranged music from the games in the musical numbers. The costumes didn't look bad either. If you like Castlevania, you'll probably like this too.

@greyarea @japananon I don’t drink beer or any alcohol anymore but I do use the latter for cooking (beer in place of broth, for example) but I will give that jam akiba a look-see later on. Thanks for the recommendation.
