@BiggusDiccus If I understand correctly, it varies in legality from state to state.

@ripcordfire_0091 @idea_enjoyer It could also be that after destroying the validity of these institutions by giving away credentials to bi-poc, they are elevating their youth through other means.

@SuperSnekFriend Thank for for the clarification. (it took me a day to remember I asked, I then go look for your reply xD)

@rher Any idea on the origins of that flag in the background "an appeal to heaven". Feel like I've seen it before.

@Aether @deprecated_ii apt, pip, npm, quicklisp, M-x package-install, I honestly hate all these things.I would pay money for a bundled version of these things, so that when I download them, I know "Hey, you've got the important stuff, your installation is feature complete, and if you need to reinstall, you already have all the files".There is a lot to be said for things like AHK or Godot or a browser, because you know what you have will just work, and you don't have to worry about some centralized service failing.

@ehhh Excellent, I actually like writing SQL a lot, well because, there are no libraries or additions to the language xD The benefit is, the forced simplicity and structure keeps everyone on the same page (someone should be able to easily query your SQL database without you explaining it to them). It is equally important to know, that keeping everyone on the same page comes at a price. The forced simplicity keeps you from abstracting away the details with SQL.Essentially, SQL can benefit you, when you have multiple programs accessing the same data. But, if your application is a single process, then it is just extra work. That is, SQL is just another data structure, and you don't "have to" use it. To that end (and for your edification), I wrote a similar thing in Javascript, and another in Python. The python one even keeps the information on disk.(Glad to see you are still learning!)

A quote from a CL book:"""There is a myth that Lisp (and Prolog) are "special purpose" languages, while languages like Pascal and C are "general purpose." Actually, just the reverse is true. Pascal and C are special-purpose languages for manipulating the registers and memory of a von Neumann-style computer. The majority of their syntax is devoted to arithmetic and Boolean expressions, while they provide some facilities for forming data structures, they have poor mechanisms for procedural abstraction or control abstraction."""I am left wondering why "von Neumann" appears in old programming books and cutting edge sci-fi books, and enjoying the aggressiveness of CL programmers.

@EdBoatConnoisseur Yeah, imagine going out of his way to violate my privacy, and then complain to me about what he read. I'd honestly come to like him a lot since the time of that DM. But, clearly I'd misjudged him.

So, I am thinking, this leak makes poa.st an untenable position, my reasoning is:Fed posts have to be removed immediately because Journalists write articles about it. Or like the recent FSE incident with P, where someone sold a scraped fed post to the feds.My guess is, the DMs contain a non-trivial amount of fed posts. Therefor, it is just a matter of time before poa.st as a business entity starts to receive attention they can't handle. If I'm not seeing this clearly let me know. In any case, I'm going to see about spreading out a bit more into the fedi verse.
