@PurpCat Antifa protests locally are holding signs like "remember the J6 insurrection". But, they are just mainly standing around in their masks doing nothing. It all seems uninspired.Not one sign with anything interesting on it, and none with the name "Trump". If you didn't know who they were, you'd have to put the pieces together, because it is real vague. I guess they are just phoning it in, and collecting a pay check.

I continue to be amazed at the lack of resistance to AI adaptation.The only real holdouts seem to be on the ground that the AI can't meet their needs. And, largely most of the dialog I've seen talking against it over the last year, boils down to, you shouldn't use it because it is low quality. But, as AI continues to improve, it appears that everyone will accept it. The foundation for the future is Democracy participation, smart phone dependency, and AI that is both helpful and reliable.It is the future that people are whole heartedly accepting.Back around 2000, some people still had a sense of danger. They looked at the push to get people to use plastic bank cards to pay for stuff, and voiced their concern. The only thing I am certain of at the moment, is, resist or comply, the dawn of a terrible future is on the rise. And, there is no stopping it.

@skylar That is my point, that the token resistance about usefulness, is just stalling.A camera can help an artist capture a particular view. But, it cannot manipulate the artist.AI, all AI handle each request according to indirect ideological decisions about training data. And, by direct ideological decisions from a stance and instruction document. Even in this introduction phase, where they want it to be as useful and harmless as possible, it is still shaping peoples perspectives and thought processes, according to its instructions. Who holds they keys? Some elite that hates you. IF you cannot see the danger, then that is actually insane lol.

@binkle I agree with what you've said.I know some people that hate their phone, but they run a business, and it really would be impractical for them to dis-entangle.And, you are right, there is a sub-culture that is rejecting their phones, and AI and every other over reach. I just don't think it matters. The adoption rate is too high. "resist or comply"A switch to digital ID, has already taken place in several countries over the last few months. When interfacing with the government requires a smart phone, people are going to have a really hard time "not using a smart phone".

@sapphire I can believe that.I tried to regain phone/computer privacy for several years. But, at some point I realized that, it was a lot of work, and didn't stop the macro erosion of privacy in our environment. "What am I gaining for all this effort?" Honestly not much lol. I do like how much more stable linux is than windows, same for getting away from Adobe and MS office. But, I have a regular phone, because it was impractical to use the alternative (that probably didn't buy me any more freedom or privacy)Is AI becoming unavoidable? yesIs it going to make the world worse? yesIs it going to hurt you if you use it for work or play? Probably not if you understand the dangersIs the gov going to abuse it? Absolutely. This is just the honeymoon adoption phase.

@AGARTHA_NOBLE I've been playing with what is effectively gemini image generation these last few days, and it is so much better than anything I'd tried a year ago. It is strange though, the more I use it, and run into the lack of control, the more I want to get back to practicing my own drawing xD
