@thisisrjg @lauren I think that's part of it - people 'have' their twitter, a group of people and references. Here is often sold as twitter 2.0 but in truth it's hard to find all your twitter friends and sit in that same bubble, It's good that people read further, talk to new people. But people are people, and inevitably there will be disagreement, misunderstanding, mistakes - and with little built up good-will to mitigate or explain.

@wordrascal Vivaldi added 'workspaces' recently (as well as stacked tabs being a long-standing first class feature) if that might help you first categorise, then second filter either something to read when you want to read, or things to find what's now dated clutter to close. Also the company and browser support mastodon, if that's a plus point to you.

@mansr @revk Excessive is relative though. Discovered that some panels are prone to faults that you fix by giving them a squeeze and a toasting, and people struggled to get the fix to work because they were being too cautious. Thankfully my fault turned out to be elsewhere though because I was certainly nervous about trying that (on my only/proprietary/expensive heating controller)

@mjg59 Time well spent, especially when it helps others, and they then help you with it later.

@futurebird @MarkHoltom It's not Mark's bike. Story is 5 years old, https://metro.co.uk/2020/07/02/rail-worker-saved-mans-bike-thief-waited-hours-shift-return-12935219/ Not sure why it's had a recent resurgence in popularity

@futurebird @MarkHoltom It's a great story. Miracles do happen. Humans can be thoughtful and selfless.
