Had some frustrating convos about this today, so here's the thing with #HogwartsLegacy: if we were living in a world where governments were not literally trying to legislate #trans people out of existence and #antisemitism wasn't on the rise, I might tolerate "But I'll pirate it! The art isn't the artist!" arguments.We don't live in that world. And every review bending over backwards to justify playing it helps people feel comfy supporting hatred. 1/2

I get that games journalists have jobs to do. That's fine. But for fuck's sake, don't equivocate. Don't bemoan how conflicted you are or try to justify how fun it is or how important Harry Potter was to your childhood. Address the bigotry, list resources where allies can support trans folks and move on.

Ready to throw my #Kobo #ereader into the sea. I've rarely owned a device that was so frustrating and failure-prone. I asked here before and didn't get any responses, but I'm gonna try one more time: what non-Kindle e-readers do you recommend? I don't want to own anything in the Amazon ecosystem, so won't get a Kindle, and only need it to sync with #Libby or #Overdrive so I can read #library books. Has to be e-ink for eye strain too, not a tablet.#amReading #writing #librarybooks

Today on Fun with US #Healthcare: ran out of my don't-barf pregnancy drugs faster than my insurance company thought was reasonable because I needed the (normal, advised if needed) medium dose instead of the minimum dose indicated on the bottle.
