@lanodan@queer.hacktivis.me Since the file is updated only when necessary, and this bootstrapping approach is to recreate history, we can't shorten the path, sadly.I thought it was impractical too! However hopefully as the language stablizes, the number of intermediate versions is greatly reduced (only 1 from 0.12 to 0.13!). As a result, I don't think like that now :)

又一次桌面 Guix System 安裝https://ultrarare.space/posts/system-setup-2025/先前因爲文件系統問題重新安裝了幾次系統，在瞭解到問題並非偶然的同時也體會到安裝流程仍需改進。所以我近期向 Nonguix 和 Rosenthal 引入了一些便於系統安裝的改動，也開始製作 Guix System 的 LiveCD（詳情見 Testament 倉庫自述「LiveCDs」一節，也有提供 x86_64-linux 的預構建鏡像），其中解決了一些常見問題，這樣一來手動安裝 Guix System 會方便不少了。本文可以視作前次配置的延伸，不過用上了新的 LiveCD，也改進了部分安裝流程。

Finally merged the branch! This rust-team circle mainly focuses on the build system change. Some interesting packages like iocaine, niri, typst and uv are now available in Guix!Hopefully we can move faster on Rust packages from now on :)#guix

So I decided to run the substitute server in the long term and open it to the broader Guix community. New mirrors!* https://cache-fi.guix.moe Finland* https://cache-hk.guix.moe Hong KongCreated a repository to set up new systems ready for further deployment via guix deploy, mainly used by me to deploy temporary build workers. It works quite well! All mirrors I set up are also running Guix System now :)Now the build farm has built all jobs on x86_64-linux and I'm starting to serve aarch64-linux substitutes for the main guix channel!#guix #guix-moe
