American education on geography is woefully terrible on everywhere outside North America, but I think Singapore was one of the places done the worst disservice by my learning. Literally all I learned about an amazing, old cultural place was you’d get beaten for chewing gum.

Dubai wishes it were Singapore honestly, and Singapore has both the money and actual multicultural history.I spent a few evenings doing queer bars last week and it was a super surprising scene. Really resilient, outspoken people working hard to build a presence.

I just learned a new nightmare that will also prevent me ever moving back to America.In Victoria, a used mattress has to be clearly labeled as such by law at sale.In many American states, mattress stores can simply reupholster a used mattress and sell it as brand new.I may never sleep again.
