       @gmcgath nobody does business on Tuesdays. This is commonly known. Wednesday is hump day, and therefore not a business day. It will ship a Thursday and arrive Friday, and that’s next day shipping.

       @gmcgath most of the new Trek spin-offs I fully agree. SNW is the only property that feels like Star Trek. Yes it’s shiny, and there’s lots of lens flares, but at least for me, is far more enjoyable than Discovery (lost interest) and Picard (forcing myself to try watching season 2 again, after being so disappointed in it initially).

Yeah you gotta wrap your head around the whole thing where the Klingons in the Discovery/SNW timeline are sorta only barbaric, without the honor/pride thing being explored at all, and the Romulans are just evil Vulcans. They may have explained why in some of the seasons I didn’t watch of Discovery, but at least on SNW they’ve made the Klingons look more like Klingons again, as opposed to Discovery’s “re-imagining” that was roundly panned. It’s a big ask, admittedly.

       @gmcgath Trump’s federal indictments are not about treasonous words, but acts. Georgia involves words, but the crux is the criminal conspiracy and acts in service of it. So disqualifying him under 14A is not about what he SAID, but what he DID. While I agree that a sitting government disqualifying candidates is problematic, 14A was put in place to prevent former insurrectionists from becoming rulers. It’s not an easy decision, as you allude to, but it maybe justified.

       @gmcgath @gurftastic I guess eve jury is still out-or technically not yet in-on all of it, so it’s a bit early to make a case either way, right? The possibility exists that there’s more evidence in all the cases that we the public are not privy to. Attempting a coup through procedural machinations and illegal manipulation sure sounds like treason to me, but I’m no legal scholar. Then again, narrow definitions are constantly open to interpretation by the Court/1

       Getting a passport is a whole cottage industry if you don’t own a printer. So far I’ve paid a cafe that housed a printer service (3rd party), a photo shop that took my passport photo, and I’ll soon pay the post office for sending in my materials. Not to mention that I pay the government for the pleasure of a document that allows me to leave...

       I enjoy (some) sports. And while I agree that journalism and journalistic access is more important than ever, it’s prettttttttty hard for me to get behind sports journalists bemoaning access to sports stars, as it’s entertainment journalism, not like the White House press core getting iced out. Let’s remember that not everything is the most important thing.
