Conchas from a mexican super market, alongside clothes soap and tortillas. Ancient roman style spice mix, saucisson made here by a frenchman, spanish gaspacho and olives stuffed with anchovies. And quebec garlic, pork breakfast sausage and maple butter.

@Moon @coolboymew Robot syllables, pretty much, they're the units of text LLMs work with. It's important to know the number of tokens in a character description, because an LLM has a fixed amount of content that can be sent in the context, so the more tokens in the character description, the less space left in the context for the conversation history. Llama 1 had a native context size of 2048 tokens so it would have a hard time handling Futa Minaj.

Context management for LLMs reminds reminds me a lot of memory management on 80s computers. We're still at a point where human scale amounts of text data can easily reach our current limits.

@Moon I'm also curious about whether Google believes their flagship product has improved or worsened over time. It's hard for me to explain how it would worsen and google wouldn't immediately scramble to reverse it.It makes more sense to me that perhaps metrics to decide performance have changed or are different from what I would have expected them to be. It's plausible to me that Google results have improved for 75% of normal average users, but worsened for power users like me and most of the people I talk about this with, and Google cares a lot more about the average users because they click on sponsored links more often (as opposed to me who only ever clicks on one by mistake).
