#introduction I've never really gotten into social media before; the Facebook and Twitter crazes kinda blew past me. I'm excited to be here and find new connections!I'm a computer science student, web developer, and Emacs package maintainer.I have a beautiful dog named Leo and love to knit in my free time. I'm working on a winter hat right now, which couldn't come soon enough for this Michigan weather.

@pmidden I have three packages on ELPA right now: boxy, org-real, and boxy-headings. I also maintain org-yaap, boxy-imenu, boxy-info, and keepass.el. You can see all the packages I've written on my blog https://blog.taydev.org/emacs/packages

I have an announcement: I'm upgrading my name to Amy. This change is something I've been looking forward to for a long time. I'm still the same ebullient Emacs enthusiast as ever, just a little improved in every way!

@galdor @louis I started with a literal config. I set it up so I could go into columns mode in Org and disable or enable each heading. I never deleted anything, even packages I tried to set up but didn't like. I just prevented those sections from tangling.I'm pretty happy with my config now. I wrote a bunch of tiny packages called like my-modal-editing.el. I use header comments to install dependencies, just like an Emacs package, and my config naturally ends up native compiled.I still use a literate config for anything outside of Emacs, like enabling tap to click on my touchpad. It makes it easy to not have to remember where a particular config file is located.

@louis that's a deep cut! Lol thanks for the compliments and the suggestion. I don't think MySQL has anything similar though unfortunately. I just kept the table small through a pruning event run once a day.
