Silver and Vole would have totally ignored that dog if it hadn't come close.I do understand that a large dog that goes for a chihuahua is probably going to kill it whereas a chihuahua that goes for a large dog will probably only injure it, but I have dealt with some very serious injuries from small dogs.

Robbie turned 6 two months ago and has only ever lived in racing kennels. He loves humans though, and is very affectionate every time he sees kennel staff and his regular walkers. He's only been in our kennels a few weeks but is very popular so we hope we find him a family soon. All he knows of life is humans and other greyhounds but he's got a great temperament and seems to be taking everything in his stride.https://www.hershamhounds.org.uk/homeless-hounds/robbie-born-aug-2018/#Greyhounds #AdoptDontShop

Volkswagen left telemetry from 800,000 electric vehicles on an open S3 bucket. In 466k cases — including the entire fleet of the Hamburg police — it was possible to reconstruct the detailed movements of every vehicle and connect that with the identity of the owner.Update: See replies. Not an open S3 bucket but AWS key dumped out of JVM.https://www.carscoops.com/2024/12/vw-group-data-breach-exposed-location-info-for-800000-evs/

Pet peeve: if you're going to use sudo then there is never any need to do "sudo su". Just do "sudo -i" or "sudo -s", depending on whether you want a login shell or not, respectively. "sudo -i" is mostly the same as "su -", if you were in the (bad) habit of doing "sudo su -".In interactive use, for some reason this bothers me more than "useless use of cat".(This is not a "sudo" vs "su" argument. Use whichever you prefer. Just not both!)

I suspect that Cloudflare are quite happy with the AI scrapers that are breaking the web.Like anything that makes self-hosting more difficult for ordinary people, it serves to centralise with providers that have done nothing to prevent — or in some cases have had a hand in — the destruction. No money in curing the disease, after all.cf the massive mailbox providers and email.

Kennedy’s daughter, Kick, revealed in a 2012 interview that her dad once beheaded a dead whale and tied its head to the roof of their family minivan before embarking on a five-hour drive. “Every time we accelerated on the highway, whale juice would pour into the windows of the car and it was the rankest thing on the planet,” she told Town and Country.https://www.thedailybeast.com/rfk-jr-lets-parasitic-sea-vampire-bite-his-arm-to-show-off-hickeys/

Wondering if the continuous game of Cards against Humanity that has been taking place on @bitfolk 's IRC channel for almost 11 years now — and that now represents the only human interaction in the channel at all — will ever end.Like will the IRC network it's on stop functioning first? Or maybe I will die and the bot cease to run?

There's going to be a hell of a LOTt of refugees when Tailscale and Cloudflare take their masks all the way off. Though in the latter's case a lot of people are already holding their nose and tryting not tot hink about it.
