@jae @gray I ended up going with an Arch Linux install. I might try FreeBSD in the future again. It has the i5-5600U in it I think and 8GB of RAM. I’ve upgraded the SSD to a 500GB Samsung 860 EVO and the WiFi card to an intel AX210.

@jae @gray yeah I really want to give FreeBSD a good run on it. I’ve used it before on RaspberryPi and used to run Debian kfreebsd way back. Also since I’m a Mac user for the most part it’s always been familiar. I was happy to see they finally got iwlwifi working properly on it.

@kirby I see a lot of people on Mac forums crying about Apple missing the boat on AI and I wonder what does AI even provide other than a talking point or buzzword. What do random people on forums even want AI on their phone for?
