       @squid64 Am personally looking to stop using a smartphone. They're just genuine e-waste as they're barely repairable hardware and software wise, and just very proprietary.

       @squid64 Don't computer operating system nowadays have this paradox of having layers upon layers of abstractions, making them super simple to use but very difficult to understand?

       @squid64 Not everyone is old enough to have ever used non graphical operating systems including me.In my view Windows isn't bad because of certain technical decisions specifically, but social policy. If we just let a corporation thats very much a monopoly that only wants to satisfy its investors the experience with it is going to mirror that, and it does.

       @squid64 I am 22 and XP was my first one lolWell yeah exactly, and besides only ever free software operating systems provides with sensible choice how complex or easily understandable it should be for any user.

       @squid64 I'd recommend connecting with people who share the same mindset. I've felt same type of isolation.Do you think you can try to find people who are in the Free Software movement where you are?
