@tregeagle @uxmark @ascentale @MarkBrigham @bikenite Grant has some good nuggets but it struck me more as something not to be read continuously but useful to refer to occasionally. ‘Mash, mash, mash’ has stuck with me, and I appreciated his attitude about clothing and gear.

@Nonilex He knows “his people” are going to vote against his wishes so he’s changed his wishes. Can’t have open rebellion, so he makes it look like it’s his idea. AND I’m betting the last few weeks of govt shutdown have been spent furiously purging the files of his name. Either that or his Senate stalwarts have reassured him (with all their competence (ha!)) that procedural votes will protect him (which could be true…..I dunno. Congressional rules are obscure for political reasons)

@ascentale @iris @bikenite A2: I’m working on making pogies (the oversized mitts you see on delivery bikes. The intent is that you jam your hands in to stay warm and dry without taking gloves off/putting them on constantly. I’ll let you know if I succeed. Can’t be THAT hard, can it? #howhardcanitbe

@Nonilex My quick skim through the article shows that nowhere does it mention the ridiculous lack of qualifications of either Rubio or Miller. The cabinet is populated with vengeful men who are no more mature than middle school boys. Seems like that would be worthy to point out. sigh. @Nonilex OMG! 💔 Arts org’s in the US get very little govt funding and have to work like hell year-round to fulfill their obligations. Along comes the big buffoon and they are thrown under a steamroller. I’m worried about the NSO (nat’l symphony orchestra), I imagine they will have to part ways as well.

@Nonilex Came here to say this too! If anyone knows about “staying back”, it’s the coward-in-chief. One of my cousins had CO status during Viet Nam, took a lot of flack for it (“why aren’t you in uniform, young man?”) but worked in a hospital, which is a vital service as well. donnie knows nothing about service to anyone or anything
