@HunDriverWidow @katie I think the issue is due to the corporatisation of healthcare. Hospitals are focused on increasing profits and for that they'll make patients go through all kind of investigations and procedure. Unless we get this system to change, make healthcare as a fundamental right, things are not going to be very different.

Look like there is some issue with pixelfed.social and pixeldroid. I'm unable to authenticate user error from pixeldroid for the past couple of days. Anyone else facing this?@pixelfed, @PixelDroid

@katie This shouldn't be a surprise. In fact we should be expecting more strains of the virus going forward. The only solution is to reduce the spread of the virus and infection, so that probability of mutations come down. But reducing the spread depend heavily on majority of world population getting vaccinated, which remains a distant dream. Only about 8% of Africa is vaccinated. Similar is the case of many asian countries. We need to provide #VaccineForAll and create #VaccineEquality

@PixelDroid After a long time back on pixeldroid and feel like missing something. I see the home icon which shows all feed from the folks i follow. Then i have search/upload/notifications and the public timeline. Where did my local timeline go? Is the public timeline inclusive of my local timeline? Was this the same way about an year ago(when I last used pixeldroid)?I'd have preferred a local timeline separate from the public one. Comments?

Can you give me some suggestions on what I'm missing.On pixeldroid, I can find posts from people that I follow in the home tab and federated posts in the public tab. It appears like one of the last resorts of accessing #twitter without having an account has stopped working now. #Nitter had been a fairly useful tool, at least for me to quickly find stuff on twitter. Now it has stopped working for almost a day and this github issue indicates that it probably is gonna be the case going forward. Another reason for people to look at moving off from the birdsite on to #fediverse.https://github.com/zedeus/nitter/issues/919?ref=upstract.com

A lot of people who had been regularly posting here in the #fediverse are missing now. I know many of them are still active on #X (#twitter) and while posting here they were actually cross posting. I looked at a few of those accounts and found most of their posts here stopped around 180+ days ago. Probably the time when twitter made some restrictions to their #API usage that prevented people from #CrossPosting ?

People using #calckey aka #firefish. What mobile client are you all using? I'm trying out a firefish account and I like a lot of what I see. But I'm sorely missing a good Android client (like #tusky). I'm trying out #milktea , which is ok, but not in the league of @Tusky for sure.Any suggestions?

@hehemrin Signal's linked devices work independent of the master. ie. even if your phone where signal is registered is offline, you can send/recieve messages on the linked devices. Offline devices get synced up with the server when they come online.With Whatsapp, earlier you had to have both the phone and PC online to use WhatsApp web app. Things could have changed now.#signal
