       @metalune @Bobo_PK No, it doesn't hurt. You're absolutely right.

       @sigsegv @metalune Diversity is key. Finally, after all these years, I find myself reaching out to people whom I may have dismissed entirely due to having been brained washed by adaptive algorithms on proprietary properties.

       @metalune @sigsegv I guess I see Mastodon as my reprieve from less tech literate people. hahaha

       @metalune @sigsegv How Facebook puts everybody into a echo chamber and how I started to think the world looked a specific way, when I was only seeing a small part of the bigger picture. I began to believe that I was part of an ethical majority and that anyone who disagreed was somehow "wrong" or "evil," without giving time or credence as to the why they disagree.

       @metalune The reason for the "official" iOS app is due to the necessity of getting approval through Apple. If Apple didn't require all the apps go through them, I doubt you would see much "official" anything

       @metalune @sigsegv I tried Awesome on an Arco build and the install was borked from the start. So I am back on old trusty Manjaro, but tiling window manager is in my future

       @LinuxLounge I have seen a few brogrammer videos on YouTube where the run Kali as their daily driver. It is baffling.

       @kev I feel like this a lot. It's been a long life and I often feel like I am drowning in the mundanity of it all. There are a couple of things that seem to help. One is meditation. Developing a regular mindfulness practice has helped more than everything else combined. But a great one in a pinch, spontaneous adventure. Drop everything, pile everybody in the car and go somewhere you have never been and do something you have never done. Easier said than done, but it works better than staycation.

       @kev Maybe a physical form of meditation like yoga, Tai chi, or qigong might help. or even a martial art like jiu-jitsu, taekwondo or hapkido. I always wanted to try bojutso, which is like aikido but with a staff instead of a sword. like Gandalf fighting

       @joel Too funny. While I am actually digging Gnome, having moved from Manjaro to Fedora, I am heavily considering moving over to Arch with a WM. I like Fedora and Gnome, but I want to strip away even more, while maintaining the workflow of Gnome.

       Every time I am ready to cave in and actually try Ubuntu, I immediately reminded of the reasons I steer clear of Canonical.

       @vavrek I tried for years not hate on them, because I don't want to play into the infighting, but Canonical has become completely antithetical to my personal view of what makes Linux so great. If I need corporate sponsorship or support I will go with Fedora. Until then, I am a Manjaro/Arch guy through and through.

       @tekI had used them for years for free. Ended up having to pay near $100 to file. When I turned down the payment, they took it anyway.
