@starwall i literally experienced this shit last year. i was literally *trapped* in an underground macy's for over 30 minutes after getting off at wrong stop in the downtown subway. it was so labyrinthine that i ended up going in circles cause i forgot where the entrance was, so i was looping around in some foreign liminal space surrounded by shit i coudn't afford yet begging me t buy it anyway

the reason america would be more accepting and sensitive towards of fictional alien/fantasy races than actual, real marginalized groups is because they don't come with all the racial, cultural, religious, and gander baggageand even if they do, it's more or less boiled down to a single-issue "warlock has oppressed my people witch a magic spell for millenia and only YOU can save us cause we can't save ourselves" type dealno systemic problem needed to be addressed, and you get to feel good
