@zleap DeSantis would be happy if there were no teachers left, because he could then appoint fundamentalist clerics to properly propagandize the kiddies.

@_L1vY_ Watching British retro YouTubers really opened my eyes to a bunch of machines I’d barely heard of growing up. ZX Spectrum? Amstrad? BBC Micro? Such crazy fantasy machines! 😆

@misty Yeah, now we have billions of hosts, but almost all of them are controlled by about a dozen companies. 😒

It is INSANE to me that NABU was trying to do something so ahead of its time in 1985. Basically supercharged teletext. The Sega Channel was still NINE YEARS in the future. #retrocomputing

With every tech layoff I see, I get just a tiny bit more radicalized.

I’ve been replaying the Bioshock games. I’ve always loved the settings, and enjoyed the gameplay. But, oh, Bioshock Infinite. Oh dear. What a tragedy. I feel for the designers, artists, and musicians who obviously poured so much dedication on it, only to have their work permanently associated with a story that actually used “good people on both sides” argument on issues of racism, classism, exploitation, and slavery. How astonishingly tone-deaf.
