You know how some pedestrian crossings require you to press a button, but other pedestrian crossings will automatically have a ‘pedestrian’ mode in their cycle, and the button doesn’t actually do much? HEAR ME OUT: this should be forbidden knowledge. The general public cannot be trusted with it. No one’s pushing buttons these days, and it’s really fucking with my efficiency flow.

@thecurler3 haha this is the most American take. Here in London pushing buttons and fucking with traffic flow is (in my opinion) a public good. 90% of the people driving a car in this city don’t need to - they should be inconvenienced 😉

Too many people have heard that the pedestrian crossing buttons are sometimes optional, and they simply refuse to press any buttons at all. Then just STAND THERE. Wasting PRECIOUS SECONDS. I will obviously press the button when I get to the junction- I am not a monster. But by the time I show up to save the fucken day, it’s too late in the cycle and we have to wait for MORE SECONDS before it’s the pedestrians’ turn.
