@ariadne @lanodan @marcan @larsiviAll of this is saddening to hear.I was part D community around 2007-2010, and tbh, I don't remember such dumb takes from back than. That community organically grew around D 1.0.I quit and so did many other ppl. I believe many did, because they weren't heard. To build successful community, you can't just focus on tech and ignore/forget about ppl.I don't think D will ever be successful.D was started ~2001, Rust ~2010. Rust is in much better place.

@larsivi @ariadne @lanodan @marcan ftr, I was referring to Walter, who simply focused on D2.0 and simply left D1.0 community behind.IMO building a language just for the sake of it is pretty futile task and quickly puts you on a shelf with esoteric languages.

@stfn I think that this hopping is kind of like a stage in life, you're searching for something that suits your needs. I think many (all?) #linux users were there at some point.I've sticked to ubu for quite some time, but given that these days I'm using Linux rather on remotes than on working machine (and given mess that is #systemd) - I've recently started looking at alternatives.#distribution landscape has certainly changed over the years.

@futurebird I happened to have other fiio device. It turned out to be an utter (and quite expensive) piece of crap that turned into brick.

@stfn despite what I think of PiS party, energy transition is clearly their success and it happened without most people noticing that. What the article doesn't mention though is *how* they achieved that. And in large part they achieved it by suddenly and quite drastically raising energy prizes for private business.(I don't have any opinion if it was a good or bad method, but if you judge by the fruits... )

@stfn sad part (and somewhat ironic, given it's owned by MS) is that to gain any kind of exposure, you basically need to be on GH.

@stfn I've been using such setup for a long time. I really liked it, the only downside was anti-aliasing (and/or subpixel rendering) which sucked baaadly. Moreover I have some vague recollection of *cough* windows having some weird problem with applying different settings to different displays.

@futurebird tbh, although unlikely, that still sounds like a better idea, than trying to colonize the red planet. What would you do with sulfuric acid clouds though?(afaik there'd be much more problems to consider - like winds and temp, I'm simply curious)
